Crescent Vendetta is the first book of a very promising paranormal series called Vendetta. I must confess I love this genre, but this book is the cherry on the cake. The author built us a plot so believable and characters that are easy to relate to. I assure you that it doesn’t matter if we are talking shifters or not, you will be living every part of the plot with them without feeling the plot was forced. That, just by itself, is amazing and a true accomplishment. This story deals with a lot of topics such as romance, betrayal, violence and almost every hardship you can never imagine. Nevertheless, every piece of the novel is put together in such a way that it doesn’t feel exaggerated. I loved how two, unlike characters, found everything they needed to heal in each other.
This book makes you think about everything one must deal with their life. We see faces that we never thought would hurt us but the truth is that there is evil lurking around every corner, but there is also light, hope, and happiness awaiting us. This story is full of self-growth, acceptance, and tolerance when it comes to our hero and heroine and it really touched my heart. I highly recommend this novel to any paranormal romance fan that loves to have some suspense, action, and a lot of drama in the mix.

As the second book in the Dark Knights of Heaven series, this story focuses around Bass & Bree. These two are lonely and desperate to fill the void they sense in themselves all amidst demon attacks and personal turmoil. Bass, a former angel, banished from Heaven, hides behind a mask of debauchery that he’s built over the centuries. But it all changes when he finds Bree in the Alaskan wilderness where she and her twin brother, Sam, are fighting back demons. In the process a mysterious figure from the twins’ past steps into the light and ties the heroes closer to those they’d rather leave far away.

The world so enchanting and exciting in the first book is expanded in the second. The characters introduced in book one are present and further expanded. This makes the world more vivid and enticing. Even though the ending seems to come out of nowhere, the story leaves me anticipating the next installment. I cannot wait to find out what happens next!

As someone with multiple transgender friends, I felt Trish truly captured the internal struggles of a trans man years post-transition. Trish is a master at dialogue, the conversations between characters felt natural and not forced to push the plot. I also think EACH character had their own distinct voice. It was a pleasure to read, and I can’t wait for more.
